WC Theater 1 Spring Auditions
Shrek the Musical KIDS
Saturday, Jan. 10 | 10 a.m.

WC Theater 1 is for students currently in grades 4th-6th. This class gives younger actors an opportunity to learn singing, acting and dancing skills in a fun and safe environment. This semester will end with performances on April 22, 23 & 24. Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from  5 - 6 p.m.

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Auditions: Auditions for the show will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026. A link to sign up for an audition time will be included in the registration confirmation email you receive. During auditions, students will be asked to sing a song or a portion of a song that is approximately one minute long. It is preferred that students sing a song from the show.

We believe that God has gifted each of us with unique talents, and how we use those talents is our gift back to God. Here students are given the opportunity to express their creativity, celebrate their differences, and work together to produce amazing Broadway-inspired performances. By fostering a loving atmosphere, students are provided a safe space to explore who they are, and who God has made them to be.  WC Theater – more than just a stage.
