HEALTH
Volunteer Medical Team
This team is a dedicated group of Texas-licensed healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who provide medical support during church services, special events, VBS and mission trips. Training is provided by the Director of Health in partnership with the team’s Medical Director. We welcome qualified healthcare professionals to join our team.
Health Supplies and Training
We ensure the medical supplies and emergency equipment at WC are up-to-date. We also train WC Staff, ministry leaders and volunteers in health and safety measures.
Medical Equipment Share Closet
The WC Share Closet is an outreach ministry dedicated to serving both our church family and the surrounding community by providing access to donated medical equipment and supplies. Whether it's a wheelchair, walker, crutches, or other assistive items, our goal is to ensure that those in need have what they need—free of charge. By sharing these resources, we extend Christ’s love through practical support and compassionate care.

health and wellness
Faith in Christ encompasses every aspect of our lives, including physical health and wellness. That’s why we’re dedicated to offering a variety of resources and programs designed to bring you balance and support in your own life and take care of those you love. To ensure this happens, two wonderful, part-time registered nurses leading our Health and Wellness ministries are ready to connect you with resources to help you maintain or regain a sense of wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.

WELLNESS
Health Care Advocacy
Advocacy is provided by assisting individuals to understand their medical conditions and treatment options as directed by their medical provider.
Referrals and Resources
For families overwhelmed and in need of assistance choosing In-home or residential care for themselves or a loved one, we maintain a fully vetted list of local communities, care homes and skilled nursing facilities. We also maintain a list of home caregivers, companies and respite care that have documented good care to families within the WC congregation. This is not an endorsement of these suppliers.
Educational Programs
Throughout the year we provide educational programs on a variety of health and wellness topics. Keep your eye on the WC website, the Herald newspaper and other communications for these events. All are offered at no cost but do require registration on the church website.
Liaison to Support Groups
For the many who are struggling with ongoing individual and family situations, we want you to know that you are not alone. There are several support groups that meet monthly on our campus. You will be welcomed and supported by others that share similar situations. Click here for list of Support Groups.
Quarterly Blood Drives
WC, in partnership with Carter BloodCare, holds on-campus quarterly blood drives on scheduled Sundays. Please consider donating before or after church services. Donation will cost you nothing and you will be sharing a wonderful gift with someone in need. We post drive dates are two weeks prior to the scheduled donation date, or you can check the Carter BloodCare website.
