Barb Creason
M.A, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Ms. Creason earned the Doctor of Christian Counseling degree from Kingsway College and Theological Seminary and an M.A. degree with Honors in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. She has over 40 years of professional experience in a variety of educational, mental health and church settings. Ms. Creason accepts clients from kindergarten through senior citizen age. Having begun as a teacher of deaf children, she can converse using sign language. She works empathically with individuals, couples and families to help them navigate through a wide variety of life challenges. She also has significant experience helping individuals with gender concerns. As well, Ms. Creason has experience with problems of anxiety, depression, grief, parenting issues including parents with children having special needs or adoptive attachment issues, and dementia. She also incorporates Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) strategies in her practice to promote positive change. Ms. Creason and her husband are active members and Stephen Ministry Leaders at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
